mmmm, i think it is neither this nor that. it is not a rule to be good at doing what you like, for example i have a friend who "loves" singing so much but she cannot get a note right when she actually "sings"..
on the other hand, it is not necessary to like what you are good at doing, you can find plenty of people who are good at something but they do not really like it... it can work both ways and also it can work neither ways i guess.
I think we like the feeling of being good at something...whether we actually enjoy doing that thing or not. Feeling skilled @ doing a certain sthg, is indeed very flattering...either when we realize it oursleves, or acknowledged by others, regardless of the fact that we like it or not. However, if you're bad at something...you definitely won't like it. It doesn't go the other way around though.
Well never mind singing. I probably meant more serious activities. Like subjects you like to study or your work. Everybody can enjoy singing, dancing, and most sports without being particularily good at it.
Maybe I meant mental activities. I can't seem to think of a mental activity that you might like but suck at or be good at and hate...
